I actually pretty much completely missed the happenings there because I went to Westside anyway to meetup with Dezmond, who I had not seen in probably three years since the summer of 2001 when he played DDR with the group of us that played at that time during one of his visits from California. He has visited since, but I just haven't been able to connect with him, so I wanted to make sure that I saw him at Westside on this trip.
I stayed and chatted with him for a couple hours and then made my way over to Avon Park where everyone had pretty much already left due to its closing at 8:30. I followed shammers, sircasey, hicks, and another Casey on a quick errand before rejoining the rest of the group at another park in Plainfield.
The usual group dynamic prevailed at the park and fun times were had without dancing or arrows. I enjoyed some frisbee and some stimulating conversations with both the usual suspects as well as some new faces to me.
One thing to note was that I pretty much had to pee the entire time I was there. I finally left about 10 'til 11 and started making my way home...bladder pressure continuing to build all the way. I finally stopped at the Meijer at US 31 and Carmel drive experiencing the most intense "I have to go pee" feelings I've ever had in my life. I thought I was going to explode! I waddled (wanted to be quick, but couldn't really run at this point) my way into the store and stood in front of the toilet for what must've been a full minute. Whee! The rest of the drive was pretty uneventful...and now, here I sit.
