I got a new PDA/phone last Friday. It has a built-in Wi-Fi receiver. So on my way home tonight I decided I'd see how many Wi-Fi networks I would detect on the stretch of US 31 (Meridian St.) between I-465 and SR 32...

...I quit counting after I exceeded 30. It was a real eye opener as to just how pervasive Wi-Fi has become. It was also interesting to see some of the SSIDs. Some matched the names of businesses along that route. Some looked like people's names. Several were obviously default out-of-the-box values. This led me to believe that those networks may be insecure. It's good to know that it shouldn't be too hard to find a wireless network to steal leech borrow if I need one.
